2025: Entering the market and scaling our impact
With 2024 behind us - a year dedicated to building the foundation of our company - our focus now shifts to bringing Chalé Spirulina to the market. This year will be about scaling production, strengthening partnerships, expanding our team, and preparing for future growth. So, what exactly are our plans for 2025 and beyond?
When planning for the future, it's important to reflect on the lessons we've learned. While we look back on a successful year, like any start-up, we faced our share of challenges. And how could we not? Building a production facility from scratch in Ghana is a real challenge, but also an adventure. We quickly realized that to make progress, we had to adapt to the Ghanaian way of working. Learning how things are done here - both in business and day-to-day life - helped us understand the environment better. It wasn't always easy, but by working with the local systems and people, we've gained valuable insights and built stronger relationships. These experiences have shaped how we approach the project and the future. We know 2025 will bring new challenges, but we're ready for them. Whenever a problem arises, Emmanuel - our facility manager - responds with his signature phrase: "We will manage", and always follows through with practical solutions. With a clear division of responsibilities and a strong sense of teamwork, we're determined to achieve our goals in 2025.
So, what do we want to achieve in the coming year? First of all, we aim to run our brand new production facility at full capacity and master every aspect of the production process. Together with Tim - founder of Alga.farm, our R&D partner - we are learning more about spirulina production every day to improve our protocols. Moreover, we want to build strong partnerships with European food & health brands - more than just being a supplier, we aim to be a true partner. In the end, these partners enable us to make local impact. And this leads to our most important goal for 2025: we want to maximize our impact by creating stable jobs and enriching local school meals. Looking further ahead, this year is about laying the groundwork for large-scale impact. We'll explore opportunities with purpose-driven organizations like Solidaridad, SNV, and others. While we remain flexible and open to possibilities, we're firmly anchored by three pillars: offering a high quality product, creating local employment, and fighting malnutrition. We use these three values to guide us in everything we do as we prepare for long-term growth.
We're excited about the future!
