Spirulina with a purpose.
In Ghana, many children lack the nutrition they need to grow and learn. This is why we have teamed up with Food For All Africa, an organization that serves free school lunches in the areas where this is needed most. For every kg sold, we donate enough spirulina to enrich 20 school meals in Ghana. Together we fight malnutrition and support Ghana's next generation.

A community, growing together.
For us it’s all about the people. From the team working on our farm in Ghana to everyone who shares our story, Chalé runs on good vibes and good energy. We grow together, we learn together, and we genuinely enjoy the ride. That's how great spirulina gets made!
-
Fair, stable jobs
We create fair, stable employment for our Ghanaian team. Real opportunity, close to home.
-
Trained to expert level
Everyone grows with us and is trained to expert level, from pond to final product.
-
One community
We work side by side and share the pride in every single batch we grow together.
Better for the planet, by design.
Spirulina is one of the most resource-efficient foods on earth, more nutrition per drop of water and square metre of land.
EnergyLow-energy cultivation
Growing our spirulina in its natural tropical climate means we don't need any artificial lighting or heating. On top of that, our facility runs entirely on Ghana's sunshine.
WaterA fraction of the water
Our spirulina is grown in a sustainable way and generates more nutrition per m2 than any other food source with just a fraction of the water.
CO₂Carbon-hungry by nature
When spirulina grows, it captures CO2 and releases oxygen, nutrition that actually helps the planet breathe.

Part of the B Corp community.
We are proud to be part of the B Corp community. The certification recognises our effort to produce spirulina in a way that is both sustainable and ethical. The food industry is often far from transparent. At Chalé, we take a different approach; we've set up our own value chain, from cultivation to final product.
